I have a certain respect for all who where lost in Japan, the Marine Raiders where deployed to defend America in Japan after the attack on Pearl harbour. If Will decides to make them I think he should look vaguely like thisSo I have scoured Bricklink searching for a look wich is just right Good Camo HeadThis BagThis torso to use only for the base of a customSand green LegsAnd this hair in blackIn his backpack he should have two ammo clips and he should carry an M1 Garand Rifle with monopod and an M1911 .45 Pistol as a side arm And if Will likes the sound of this then he should be made with the Marine Raiders Insignia

The torso is not accurate to the real one, maybe just a decal.

I think a Marine Raider would be cool. He could have a Thompson instead of the Garand, or he could have the Garand and the Thompson, either works.
