Some time ago, while reading through the comments left in my DSOC's Team Liberator sketch, I noted the following:

Nice artwork here, Alpha company right.

As things turned out, most folks tend to mix SOF Team Liberator up with my *other*, better known contribution to the FOL community, the Alpha Company group. The latter is a depiction of an ordinary infantry unit in the same timeline as Liberator, with the official designation of the Lego States Army, 2nd Infantry Division, "A" Company.

To help curb further confusion, I present a quickie sketch of a typical infantry squad in Alpha Company:

(Click to view larger version on Flickr)

Note the PASGT-II helmets with goggles, as well as the Interceptor-MAX body armor, standard issue in the LS Army. Half of the squad carries the M4 Carbine assault rifles, while those with specialist roles are armed with the M249 SAW, M14 DMR and the M32 MGL. All personnel carry backup self-defence items comprising of a M9 Beretta service pistol and a KABAR combat knife.

Further information regarding roles and equipment prescriptions can be found in TechNote #0006 - Roles and Loadout for Infantry Squads on the official ACF group forums.

This sketch will also serve as the main concept for future development of decals and possibly custom accessories for use in the group.

Thanks for looking!

Nice! I gotta say, this drawing came out really well... If only I had the pieces (or the funds) to make this a (Lego) reality.

Wow! And I thought the DSOC Team Liberator sketch was awesome! This just blows my mind! Maybe use the torso sketch as the basis for the Interceptor-MAX vest that you're going to to make once you get all the stuff you need for your CNC and injection molding setup!

Thanks for the complements, everyone! I'm thinking of doing a field medic team and a Javelin AT team sketch soon, so watch this subforum for updates!

This is really neat, dude. I love all the speach bubbles and your parenthetical citation under the markswoman.

What gun did you give the rifle men? I couldn't tell in the pic

Actually, it takes just 20 minutes to draw 2 and 1/4 minifigs. In total, one quiet Sunday afternoon with my usual cuppa of herbal tea :)

Colt M4 Carbines. While I did draw them to minifig scale, I didn't quite do them to exactly the same aesthetics as actual BrickArms M4s.

It may be the collapseable stock and additional ACOG scopes that are causing the confusion.
