I saw District 9, and its my new favorite movie.I definitely think that this is a great addition to the armory.
It will be quick, it will be clean, and best of all, it will be quiet. - District 9 98% of teenagers can't count. If you are one of this 7%, copy this into your signature. Vote for the Reciolless SMG for Fan Choice 2010! I did!!!

Great movie, great gun. I mean, how can you NOT love a gun that vaporizes its target? It could also be a great stand in for a flamethrower! :D The Schmeisser wrote:I really hate to be devil's advocate, but I have to say that this gun design is just a little bit too "alien" for me. I have no idea which parts are which (e.g. where is the barrel, where is the magazine, etc.), and in all actuality, it really doesn't resemble a firearm. Sorry, but I'm really not a fan of this gun. Thats probably because its not really a gun in modern sense. Its "barrel" would be both those long things (electricity arcs between them when it fires) and its "magazine" would be the canister on top (another reason it would work for a flamethrower).

It looks cool but I sense in the hands of a minifig it would just look awkward. Do the Aliens in District 9 have any sort of pistol?

Nope they dont. They use only BIG handheld guns. This one would work great on any sci fi theme (or even in kinda not so distand future).Movie was really really great;big guns, moral subtone, damn good looking toyota's (who doesnt like fully armored 4WD pickup?) and one of the best exoskeletons in movies. It might look abit awkward in minifig's hands due to size (those weapons were really BIG), but due to limitations its still better to have aprox. looking gun than nothing. As for the movie:was that bug in the end wikus? Considering what his "wife"said about his past it could be. And he did same flower as she got. If they EVER make another one, please dont ruin it with Hollywood action like scenario.
