This is a perfect substitute for the good old G36. Why is that? The XM8 isn't like a G36, it IS a G36. YouTube Channel

If you mean the real XM8, then yes, they both incorporate the same internal mechanisms. I agree, they are so similar that it's basically only the outside frame/body that is different. But for Brickarms, they are totally different. "C-One- Thirty roll'in down the strip, Airborne Ranger on a one-way trip. And it looks much more detailed than the discontinued G36 (Will's production methods have improved over the time). YouTube Channel

I was looking at my 2 g36's and at the AC8 and they do look slightly similar.

Don't change it from the V3 Will, V3 looks the best.

Will didn't say specifically that the AC8 will be mass produced, just that if and when it is, the scope that's attached to it might be useful to weapons modders. Some times, I think folks read in posts of Will and myself what they want to see! Just clear things up, the following pic lists all the items currently being developed for mass production: Hopefully, that should answer all questions!

the enigma that is badger wrote:Just clear things up, the following pic lists all the items currently being developed for mass production That sure clears everything up. I'm glad to see some of my favorite weapons going into mass production!
Check out my Flickr! Last updated: October 19th, 2009. No big MOCs from me for a while, I've got a vignette I'm working on, and it's using my best pieces.

I can't wait to buy some of these if they ever make it, the one you gave me at BrickCon, badger, looks fantastic! One question though, why does the grip on mine (and the V2 lancer thing) have a bit of a problem with that *click* we all love when it goes into a figs hand? That will be revised, I presume? Will's home CNC was hiccuping a bit when it cut those molds, resulting in grips that are slightly ovid; they'll fit in the figs hands just fine, but they don't get that satisfying click both Will and fans of BrickArms love to here. If and when those items are mass produced, it won't be an issue as the CNC machine used by Will's tooler to cut Will's designs into the steel production molds is a very, very fine piece of machinery and will cut true! Will's home CNC (I call it "HAL") works great for prototyping, but it can be temperamental at times, and quirks (like ovid grips) can and do happen. Then again, when it's running smooth as silk, the result are darn near perfect!

"I can't let you do that Will." HAL, from 2001, long movie, interesting, but long. Anyway, as my first post on the AC8, I think it fits the purpose of a sci-fi BR well, and will be perfect for my up and coming battalion. I have noticed the detail is not as in depth as some other BAPs, but I will just have to live with it. Overall, I like it.

Thanks for clearing that up badger. :) I'm sure they'll be better (if that's even possible) if they're produced or sold. -Jeff http://100thbg.org/: My grandpa fought in World War II.
