These figures were featured in my BBVC entry, however, as there were so many entries for the BBVC contest I thought some people may not have been able to see my figures, therefore I thought it would be nice to share them here. These are a few of my Covert Commando's with custom Night Vision Goggles that I am quite pleased with how they turned out. This utilizes the torso assembly and head of a Dino Attack figure (I loved the minifigure design in those sets!). I got the idea for the Night Vision Goggles from playing "Splinter Cell". Here is a reference image for you: Although the goggles are slightly over-sized from the real-life versions, I find it still represents the item well. My second figure utilizing the goggles and featuring custom painted BA Space Assault Rifles. I hope you enjoy, and would love any comments!

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure why the Goggles utilize a three-eyepiece design, however I believe it has something to do with additional sensors to pick up the various lightwaves. Most designs for Nightvision goggles I have seen that actually work typically only utilize a one or two eye-piece design - although the US Air Force is developing a Panoramic Night Vision Goggles, to allow for a greater angle of sight. The game "Splinter Cell" utilizes the three eyepiece design to allow for three different modes of viewing your surroundings - Night Vision, Thermal Vision, and EMF Vision (Electro-magnetic field vision).
