Check out my Flickr! Last updated: October 19th, 2009. No big MOCs from me for a while, I've got a vignette I'm working on, and it's using my best pieces.

Received my tan weapons on Friday and finally got a chance to examine them. I think this is the best BA color so far for the simple reason that details stick out more. I'd love to see all BA items, past and future, made available in this color. Not to mention they go nicely with the German soldier torsos from the Indiana Jones sets.

Is this gonna be locked ever? ;) It just seems that it's had a lot of discussion for something that came out a week+ ago.. -Jeff http://100thbg.org/: My grandpa fought in World War II. Here's the Bomb Group he was in. He was in the airforce, and survived the war. On the website, you can read up on the missions, see pictures, and learn some history. He's still living today, at 93 years old. :)

I can't wait to place my order! Gunmetal is my second favourite Brickarms colour, so expect an order with a lot of that colour.
Let's get Ziggy with it!

jeff wrote:Is this gonna be locked ever? ;) Well, considering folks are still receiving their first orders of Tan and new Gunmetal weaponry, I think it's appropriate for folks to post here to let Will know what they think of them. Certainly, this thread will be locked eventually, but I don't think it's run its course yet!

I got my from Zombie Slayer (we made a joint order) on tuesday. I must say, the gunmetal space magnum I had gotten is awesome, and the tan baseball bat is better than the brown one. I also got a gunmetal bat and ZS let me have his gunmetal monopod and so I made about the BEST night stick. See? how's that for the enigma that is badger wrote:Well, considering folks are still receiving their first orders of Tan and new Gunmetal weaponry ?

Woot woot! Just got my order of tan and gunmetal weapons! Arrived quickly and in perfect order! The tan weapons are delicious, yes they even taste like real LEGO! j/k
The bronze weapon(s) I got were amazing, but I don't want to spoil the upcoming review and tell you which one's I got. I'll try to post a review this weekend! As normal Will provides top notch quality and service! Of course I forgot to order tan U-Clips... so I'll have to make another order soon!

YAY! I'm so happy. I'm only wondering why the Micro SMG and down aren't also in tan. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then it's fun and games you can't see anymore!XBL Gamertag: Dougak360 If You Want To Be Friends Say You're From Brickarms!

Tan Mp40's would actually be very welcome as well. Bit of paint in the right places and you have Afrika korp varients.

Indeed. Also, the tan brings out the details o weapons A LOT more than other colours! My tan Combat Shotgun looks almost like a different weapon than my bronze and gunmetal ones! The gunmetal does look awesome on the M4s and AKs as well, the details REALLY pop out, just making there products 100 times better. I'm also euphoric that something I suggested actually got made! Well, I suggested tan as a freebie color in January, but back then I didn't know that Will was interested in branching out toother colors besides black and brown. Yep, color has a HUGE effect on the character of an item, not only in how clearly detailing is distinguished but also just the general feel. I know some don't think of constructing minifigs as building, but when you experiment with different weapon and color combinations, you can really create some great characters by matching the right fig with the right weapon when its in a color that compliments the look and feel of the fig. Tan as certainly been a color folks have been interested in for awhile, but Will's decision to pursue the color dates all the way back to the Baseball Bat prototype at Brickworld 2008. As soon as the Bat came out as great as it did, Will knew tan was likely to be color that folks would want. The question/concern was if folks would want other accessories, especially firearms, in that color. Looks like they do!
