For anyone who hasn't played ODST, these pods carry Orbital Drop Shock Troopers from a capital ship in orbit to a planet's surface. I've seen some pods posted here in the recent past, but I wanted my version to 1. combine design cues from the original drop pod and the newer drop pod 2. be minifig scale 3. hold a minifig and weapons, and 4. use the U-clip flip technique. The pod: A rear shot (probably the most accurate angle). Hatch blown off. You can see a Brickarms SAR and M23 in the bottom of the opening. The interior of the pod is built in such a way that the trooper slips right in without any stud connection, but he doesn't rattle inside during "simulated drops." A hard landing (exploded view). You can see the u-clips on either side of the pod. A close up of the U-Clip SNOT: Although I tried to build it reasonably accurate, some of the details didn't translate well into the design I was using. Considering the scale I was working at, I believe I captured the shape and color scheme adequately. Comments and suggestions welcome!

Pretty cool! I don't know much about ODST but this looks like there was a detailed thought process involved that transferred beautifly from mind to brick. A great creation and great technique!

Very cool. I like the design. I wouldn't have ever thought of that design.
You need brickarms to get a girlfriend. You need legos to build one.

Wow. I just said "Clever!" to your Ewok Attack vig, and now a drop pod!? It is great, not to big, not too small, and the hatch looks great. Do I have to say it again? I will, very clever, I never would have been able to pull it off. There. I said it. Any more, while I am still online? Just kidding, great work, as always!

I really like the compact size but the door is pretty inaccurate. :\ I would mess around wth it more. None the less great moc! "Oh and Staff Sergeant Johnson? When you get a chance, pull over. Fortunately, the removable hatch should mean I can try lots of different styles without touching the rest of the pod. I might even try using opaque black or dark blue windows so I'll have some more options.

I personally used dark trans blue pieces. I'm still baffled by how much more compact it is compared to mine! "Oh and Staff Sergeant Johnson? When you get a chance, pull over.
