Well, I was looking on Google and Wikipedia and I found this, the Ruger Mini-14. Here is a picture of it. And here is the Wikipedia page for it.

Thanks for looking, and post what you think of it.

Well it kinda of looks like a M21 Sniper rifle with 1 barrel and no scope. But if made it could be a stand in for the M1 Carbine and if this version: http://www.rps.net/QS/GUNS/mini14-2.jpg is made it could stand in as a M1A1 Carbine.

We will do this. It might not work but we have to try. To try and save people is better than watching them suffer. We must do this or die trying. This is the price of Delta Force.

Actually, I figured out a VERY easy way to make on of these from a M1 garand. Simply cut off the lower part of the barrel, and you have a great stand in.

Tarren, I believe the picture here is one of it without the clip in.

Oh, and on a side note, this weapon happens to be an unscoped version of the "Hunting Rifle" from the Zombie game "Left 4 Dead", Which means I'm all for it.

Didn't the A-Team use Mini-14's? I also recall it showing up in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and I think the Amestrian military in Fullmetal Alchemist uses the Mini-14 as their standard assault rifle. Fun times. I think this would be an excellent BAP. It would also look nice in the hands of civilian minifigs for home defense from swarms of Jar-Jars and Timmies.

Come to think of it, I think they did use some, or very similar rifles.

Well, it's based on the M14 and it does look like a smaller version of it. And in turn, the M21 Designated Marksman rifle IS an M14. So I think it's too similar to other items.

I find this MUCH too similar to the M1 Carbine Will's making.

Well considering that I suggested this about 11 months ago I had no idea that Will had any plans to make a M1A1 Carbine.

Even when brought down to minifig scale, the Mini-14 is signifigantly different from the M1 Carbine. It looks like a smaller M-14, often feeding from a larger curved magazine.

Sorry, but most of those differences wouldn't even matter on minifig scale, the stock is the only different thing, the Barrels not to far off, the mag is the same.

The magazine on the Mini-14 is thicker and curved. The rifle is signifigantly shorter than the M14(and a bit longer than the M1 carbine). There is a varient with a bayonet lug. Perhaps a BA Mini-14 could have an integral U-clip for the combat knife?
