I think the front should look less flat, you know, so we can actually see that there are multiple barrels from the front.

I can't wait for this either! (I want to recreate Wolfenstein 3D scenes using Lego and custom bricks)

Unfortunately, that's not possible with the types of molds Will uses. I've shown the Minigun to many, many folks at conventions, and most seem to like it as is, as the minifig accessory aesthetic involves caricature and not having that level of detail isn't as much of an issue.

It looks like it's using Mega Blocks plastic. Perhaps a few improvements? I think this prototype needs to be fixed up.

Well, first off, like EVERYTHING Will produces, the Minigun is made of 100% high quality ABS plastic.

The issue is that as an exceptionally large item (the biggest item Will's ever designed!), as the hot plastic fills the cavity of the mold to create the accessory, parts of the cavity cool faster than others, creating swirls and other discolorations. It has nothing to do with the quality of the plastic or the design, just the nature of how the plastic fills and cools in the mold.

It's just one aspect of this part that makes its production more difficult than more standard-sized items. Will is still working on it, and we'll have to see what the future holds!

Do you mean anything else by "fix it up?" Do please try to be more specific in your feedback!

Yes, I know it is made of the genuine ABS Plastic but it looks like mega blocks plastic becuase it probably wasn't molded too well. You can see a thin plastic line in the middle of it. I know most brickarms have that line but the on on this minigun gets a little too noticeable.

The parting line where the two halves of the mold meet. EVERY BrickArms product (and everything else that's produced via injected plastic, like LEGO bricks) has that line if you look carefully.

Again, it's more noticeable in this piece due to its size as well as how the plastic flows in the cavity (cooling faster at the edges). The mold itself was cut just as carefully as every other prototype mold Will has produced.

20 seconds and a nail file will do away with that line if it bothers you.

For the size of the item its actually a very small line.

I love this weapon, but unlike other weapons I haven't really seen it in any colors besides black and silver. I wonder what a trans minigun would look like?

Weird. I think that would look terrible. No offense.

^Ah, but you have not yet seen the trans-green Minigun! It fits perfectly in with Aaron's theme, and it is gorgeous.

The only use I can think of for a transparent Green mini gun would be to use with a Green Lantern Minifig.

I want to see this item in Tan (As a mounted weapon for my Sandmaster dune buggies)

WHAT? Where is that? Aaron could very well be able to pull that off!

^Will had one behind the table at BW 2009. I got to mess with it when I worked for him.

Back on track, this this is massive and I love it. I wish a double handle (proper name forgotten) was possible for this, and it still may be!

Should have two studs on the side for it you don't want to have a chain, and you can put and ammo Box, but still looks like the coolest gun brickarms will have!!

Impossibilities: Silenced Shotgun, Rapidfire Panzerfaust, and Grenade Pistol.

Im sure any of BA users can file down that mold line with fine sand paper. And Bren926 point good advice. If we could put ammo crate(box) instead of ammo chain it would be even better. In any case this minigun promise much. I wonder what would TLG said to Will's work (creating "realistic" weapons for LEGO-which are toys)?

Has Will at all considered the possibilities of over molding such an accessory? (you know, just so the barrels can spin)
Or would an object of this size become too complicated?
