Of that I'm quite aware. I believe you've misunderstood. I was trying to say that since BA offered no full stock shotgun, my only choice was the M47.

Ah, I see. I thought you were referring to the weapon your friend carried.

No Mr. Meeks carried a Winchester M12 if I remember correctly.

US Marines used the Mosberg 500.

Any type of generic, non-modern shotgun would do fine.

I don't know where you get your information but mine comes directly frome the men who fought in jungles and survived. The US Military used the Winchester Model 1912 until 1963 when it went out of production. From 1964 on up to 1975 the shotguns were split between the remaining Winchesters and the Ithaca 37.
Looks like you've been playing a bit much Battlefield Vietnam.
Forgive me for my harshness but when people confuse the facts about a real conflict that cost American lives and what they see in video games no detail is too small to be corrected and treated with the proper respect.

Vietnam era weapons for clearing dense jungle!
1x Combat LMG
1x M21 Sniper Rifle
1x Machete
1x Combat Knife
4x M84 Stun Grenades
4x M67 Frag Grenades
1x M4
1x AK47
1x RPG
1x M47 Shotgun

Everything you'd need for the Mekong and beyond.

Now that even more vietnam era goodies have come out, I would add ammo clips, Maybe(just maybe) swithch the M47 for the combat shotty, and add 2 machettes...

Actually, the SPAS-12, which the Combat Shotgun was inspired by, was made in 1979, long after the Veitnam War ended. Also, it was never used by the US Army, only Frace, Ireland, Tiawan, and Thailand. Although, Wiki may have lied to me, as I was pretty sure that until SPAS-12s were put out of production, it was the US Military's shotgun. Nowadays it's the Mossberg 590, AKA the M590 Military.

Everything is fine except I'd add some U-clips and Ammo clips as well! Great idea by the way!

I just wanted to say that you have an extremely good point there. Videogames are for entertainment and are often wrong on many of the more subtle details. That's because you're too busy trying to win to notice. Those men had to know every square centimeter of their guns, because if they didn't, it often meant death.

That being said, I support this pack, even though I prefer sci fi myself.

As they always say... If you can't beat them, Then self-detonate, and take them ALL WITH YOU!!!

Nicely put! I still back this pack up 110.2% (I'm feeling like a bit of a rebel today! xD)

I don't think Will would mind chopping off a few more scopes for an awesome pack like this!

I know! :P That was from a few months ago. I had never seen Apocalypse Now until just a short while ago. And I had even known before I saw it. ;-)

i have just studied vietnam in history (which may seem strange as i come from England) and i think this pack is full of the weapons they would have used :) just as a suggestion i would have prefered a bazooka to an RPG but its your pack so its your choice :)

Actually, the BA RPG looks almost exactly like an RPG-2/B-40 rocket launcher that the VC used in large quantities. I think the pack should include 2 or 3 of them.

Does it ever seem that the intelligent parts of posts are the parts ignored?

that's a good idea but you should have more than one M4 an AK. they were some of the main weapons used during the war. but otherwise good idea! I would buy one!

cod= call of duty, cow= cod. modern warfare, moc= my own creation, yoc= your own creation,
all i need is a 50 cal. and a knife to be happy.
