Read a few posts above, and you'll realize it's on purpose. ;)

I still think there should be a poll regarding it.

While I appreciate the feedback, there is no need for a poll to decide design issues like this. Please remember that the design process isn't a democracy. ;)
When the design is ready, it will be ready. In the mean time, it will probably rev a few more times.

In my opinion this is a huge improvement from the first version. I think that removing the blade makes it more useful for different themes. I also think that the smaller size fits better.

Where did Will get the idea for this weapon? I know the Glaive is a cooking knife, but still...

I agree, much better because you can add so many different items to it, making it a much more unique weapon.

I like it a lot (reminds me of the pre Locust-Human War Lancer) but will it replace the Buzz Gun?

The BA HSR is an updated, improved version of the Buzzgun. Will took all the feedback he got on the original Buzzgun, and transformed the item into the HSR. Notable improvements:

- Better scaled to the minifig
- Able to accommodate any number of attachments

I love it, much improvement from the other version, as you can use all kinds of things instead of a set blade.

Hmm.... that knife is perfect for a "throwing knives" use. Is anyone thinking of the trick where one person is tied to a big rotating target at a carnival or some other event and another is standing a good distance away blindfolded and throws all of his knives while the victim is spinning and (in a non horror Lego scene) the victim is unharmed?

When at first you don't succeed, call in an airstrike.

I just realized that the glaive could be used for a Michael Myers vig. Ooh! Halloween special-thing Michael Myers fig!
Just so you know who i'm talking about it's the guy in the pic.

And cue (queue?) the witty reply from badger.

If I may suggest, I would like to see both the Buzzgun and this accessory produced, for those who like me, liked the original better. Who else feels this would be a good idea?

I feel the same way, mostly because I liked the curve on the end of the buzzgun.

I agree with both of those points but I still like the Buzzgun a lot. Its a shame that it won't make production.

This is excellent, but you need to make an attachment that has teeth, or at least look like it.

I would like to be a marshall fan. I'll be glad to help out! My Flickr brickshelf

This is dissapointing. Not the prototype-personally, any prototype crafted by Will is a wonderful creation-but with all the negative opinions from the members. I don't understand why there's so much arguing over this. The original version of the Buzzgun was really cool; however, as has been mentioned several times by Will and Badger, this new HSR has so many more customizable options. You can place so many different attachments on it. So, why so much complaining? I don't get it.
