I really hope this sees production. It's my favorite prototype (besides of course, the minigun). They really are amazing in person.

Yes, they are. my bronze colored one works incredibly well for Steampunk, not to mention old Sci-Fi type stuff!

I love the Retro Raygun. Like some say, it looks like a toy. It could be a part of a Halloween moc, a few children trick-or-treating, and one's a spaceman. Or, a German Zombies vig. Or perhaps, a space battle of epic proportions.

I second that! We could make a "Firelance event" vignette with this! :D

Well I wouldn't say "exactly", but it's close, it's close to the CoD:WaW Ray Gun too.

Check out my Flickr! My big vignette is almost done. Should be finished in a month or two!

I think it's safe to say that this is an amalgamation of various classic retro sci-fi raygun designs. Both Fallout 3 and CoD WaW German Zombies modes were supposed to feel like that, so that's why the Alien Blaster and the Wunderwaffe looked like this.

A raygun! Just looking at it makes me want to zap an alien life form!

For every brickarm created, there is a minifig who needs it.
Sorry I haven't been posting: school is taking up a lot of my time

I would love to see what this looks like in the hands of one of the new Atlantis figs. I think the retro of the theme and this accessory will work well together.

You know, people had thought of ray guns before video games. I believe that this was inspired by many different designs, although this looks like it was mostly inspired by Flash Gordon. Anyways, I'm not sure if I;ve said this already, but this is one of the most awesome prototypes! I would probably use it mostly as a Wraith Stunner from Stargate Atlantis, but it has a whole ton of uses.
