I don't know I personally think a solid stock would be better other than that nice work will

I'd say the carbine would work as a modern weapon. Especially a gunmetal version, as it would look like a modern synthetic stock. A comfortable weapon to shoot, and though the stopping power is rather mediocre to poor, it has its functions.

And by the way, the Norwegian police and The Home Guard used 'em until the 70's (I *think* MP5 SMG's replaced them), so they have been used in the "modern era" at least! ;)

I think Wow is an understatement. The version that Will decided on is awesome. If allows for so much diversity, as well as the flat top that you can add a whole bunch of stuff to.
