Navy SEAL beach landings are supposed to be about stealthy insertion, not letting loose walls of flying hot lead. Unless of course, someone else can convince me ;) I think it really depends on the mission. While it wouldn't be used for a beach scan mission, a beach landing mission could be the begining of a direct action raid or deep reconaissance. It really depends on the circumstances though, and what's at stake.

linky-monky wrote:The SAW looks better than the MK48 I've noticed that the only difference between them (besides caliber - and that's unnoticable at minifig scale) is their length. Despite being longer by 3.8cm, really a minifig-scale Mk48 could be considered a M249 SAW. Enlist in Alpha Company today! I think if the marines were made, one could have an M4 and another the MK48. And a navy seal could have an MP7 or an MP5.( I prefer the MP5 so far, but I haven't seen the MP7.)

The MP7 is more of a self-defense weapon, so I prefer Navy SEALs armed with MP5s too. Enlist in Alpha Company today! Build an infantry squad, follow the official campaigns and participate in contests and community build projects! My Flickr, BrickShelf

I was actually planning on making a Call of Duty4 fig for Staff Sgt. Griggs. GreenLead wrote:MP7 is more of a self-defense weapon, so I prefer Navy SEALs armed with MP5s too. Yeah, I agree. The MP7 seems more like something that special security forces or bodyguards would carry.

I say spec. ops. teams should get mp5s but soldiers should get m4s. Hey maybe it could have terrorist pack so they have someone to fight, they would get AKs.

I would like to see some modern minifigs to compliment the already offered Bandits, and to balance modern and WWII themes. But with so many variations of modern troops, there are endless possibilities. I think a standard Army grunt would suffice, but until there is a decent PASGAT helmet, I don't know what would be used. Weapons could include an M4, an M1911 (or Desert Eagle if produced), and perhaps a grenade or two. There could even be variations, such as a support gunner with an MK48. No matter what happens, I would love to see some modern troops produced.

I agree we do need a helmet that is more modern ,or at least a boonie hat.

I am actually nearly done making a Delta Force squad (four men, including Paul Howe), armed with: 2 M4s, 2, MP5s, 3 M23s, and a shotgun (Paul Howe, as in reality, is equipped with one of the carbines which will have a cut down pump shotgun underneath), and a frag grenade for each. They all have some type of Dino Force body, black pants, and sharpied black TLC Skateboard helmets (because in the Mogadishu conflict, they wore lightweight, cut-down hockey helmets), and all the faces have headsets (once again, read Black Hawk Down.) Right now all I need to do before I post pictures is to the modding on Paul Howe's carbine, attaching the cut-down shotgun underneath. Unrelated, but I also made to Black Panthers.

Now don't think I'm saying this because of favoritism or because I was a marine or anything. I love this idea. We have James Bond, Cops, and Colonial Marines. Why not add some modern soldiers to compliment all the nice current weapons Will makes and or will be available for production soon i.e. M4, MP5, Flashbangs, MK48, and all of those.

I agree entirely. What good is an M4 is theres no man in camo to man it? Helmets might end up being a problem though, and packs too. However its hard to have a good time with Banditos (terrorists, if you will) when there is no counter-force.

Most indubidably. Although we could use the TLC backpack (The one that comes in the Indiana Jones Motorcycle chase set) and try to get it in black. Time to go find a picture from Bricklink! Here we are. And it comes in black! Or perhaps this one. Shoot, no black. But there is green!

I've decided to bump this thread, because I am such a fan of this suggestion. So let's go on with more discussion.

kaboom4 wrote:So let's go on with more discussion. Okay. :) If a BrickArms Navy SEAL minifig is made, what weapons would you all like to see included with it? It seems that there are quite a lot of choices: - MP5 - M4 - MK48 - M23 - M23 SOCOM - KA-BAR Of course, we'll have to pick and choose, seeing as minifigs usually aren't armed with six weapons at once. ;) *Disclaimer that none of the above is currently being developed by Will* obxcrew

I would like to see a monopod-equipped M4 and a KA-BAR for this minifig if it was ever produced. I read a whole lot of books by former SEALS and it seems they carried M1911s or M9s for sidearms. MOCpages

- MP5 - M4 - MK48 - M23 - M23 SOCOM - KA-BAR If BrickArms released a Navy SEAL fig, the weapons I'd like to see it come with would depend on the look of the SEAL fig. If Will decides to do a scuba version(possibly using my Draeger scuba rig design) then I'd like to see it come with an MP5, M23 SOCOM, and a KA-BAR. If it is outfitted for land operations, then the M4, M23, KA-BAR, and grenades(I know they weren't in the list, but I think they'd be cool).
