Now THAT looks brilliant! I hope this, plus that pretty awesome Minifig design, go on sale eventually. Now all we need are Sten's or Lee Enfelds. But, It's great to see a better picture of this!

Damien-I believe the correct term for "medival brimmed helm" is kettle helm. Plus, could we see a shot from a top angle?

As with certain other items (not only helmets) of the period, it was referred to by a number of different names. It's also been called a skullcap, a pot helm (two terms more commonly used for other items, but applied to this style of helmet as well in historical documents), and a few other, stranger names. Medieval scholars weren't exactly diligent about naming conventions like we are today, so there's a bit more wiggle room in what is 'acceptable terminology.' And yes, I'm a long-standing student of ancient and medieval history, so I tend to babble on and on about this kind of thing if you let me. :drools a bit: O,O If this is just a prototype (mind you it already looks fantastic), I can't wait to see what the final product looks like! Oh, and besides WWI, WWII, and medieval troops, you can always make the Flash from the Golden Age of comics. ;)

Personally, I would quite happily pay Will for one. I can't do custom stickers and all that, so I'd prefer to buy something straight from Will or another supplier to have a British soldier ready for me to start collecting. I just know I'd mess the job up, so I'd leave it to the professional's.

I've used several of Kaminoan's waterslide decals in the past, and they're always of great design and high quality. However, with the Brodie, Lewis Gun, and several other plans for British items on the table, a custom BA Tommy fig is certainly a possibility, although nothing definite is planned as yet. badger
