Vimy Ridge was a late WW1 battle where the Canadian army took on the second most fortified German position on the Western Front. The Generals, determined not to turn it into another Somme, trained the soldiers to a degree we know now in Modern Warfare, where the individual soldier knew objectives, not just officers and NCO's. Where a soldier with a Lewis Gun would fire in controlled bursts whilst attacking. Where artillary was so well trained the Canadians were able to use a Sweeping Barrage without it dropping on the advancing infantry or going too far ahead. In short, it showed that Field Marshall Haig was a complete and utter moron for what happened at the Battle of Somme, which claimed I believe 100,000 British soldiers for a few meters of land. As Blackadder put it, "I see that Field Marshall Haig wants to move his drinks cabinet 2 meters closer to Berlin."

Thanks for the Info guys. I like it that I get a fast response. But realy I've never heard of that, well famous, battle of wwI. Now because of what Sir Norman Ray has typed as info and with Silvernexus link I can get a good view from that battle. Thanks again guys, Henk

Kind of like Gallipoli for Australians I believe (but without a Mel Gibson movie.) Speaking of movies and the brodie: I think a scene from the attack on Pearl Harbour would be another great place for the use of the Brodie. An AA emplacement vs a Zero or something.

Yeah go anti air guns. They would look cool with brodie-helmet-holding-minifigs-who-controll-the-aa-emplacement. Imagine the helmet shaking when a gun fires. Light AA gun: Ratakatakataktakatkaktaktaka (helmet wobbling) Heavy AA gun: Toungh..Toungh..Toungh..Toungh.. (helmet wobbling like in a shocky car) Wow I have to stop with the examples above... I'm kinda weird. Ah well who cares? Henk

I really like that helmet...if that ever came out on Brickarms, I would buy 10 of them. The body decal is also a great idea for the WW2 British soldier, I also really like the side arm patch, showing the army rank. Great Job!! :) -Brick Fanatic

BrickArms offerings a selection of accessories and custom minifigs ranging all over the place - sci-fi, WWII, modern, and more. Not sure what on earth you're talking about here. And 'the brodie' is the type of helmet. The minifig is there only to show off the helmet.

I meant the entire figure, not the helmet. I thought he was referencing the figure as a whole whole.

I hate being nosey, but have you thought about the color that this might come out in? I mean, everything else would have to come out in the color if you did something unique like dark grey. I don't think a black brodie would look right. I do really like the dark grey in the first post though. It looks really good with dark tan torsos. I've seen a lot of tan prototypes, but that would only really work with Desert Troops. Thanks.

To have so many prototypes not yet in Production Molds.. If I were him I'd be nuts.

I think I'd personally prefer dark bley as light bley doesn't get the hard "metal" look quite as well.
