As much as I like this gun, Will mentioned somewhere that it is too large to make. Allow me to go find a link . . .

EDIT: Darn. I can't find it. Oh, well . . .

There was previously a thread for the Browning M2, but it was older and seemed to have vanished. However, I can confirm that Will stated the M2 is just a bit too big to be easily produced using the injection methods he uses. Ultimately, items around the same size as the Lewis Gun prototype are probably as large as a single-piece BrickArms accessories will ever be.

Anyways, I love this gun and I'm glad Will has taken it into consideration!!!

It may have been said in the previous "vanished" thread but I think it could come in two peices: The receiver and the barrel. Maybe even different grips that can click onto the back. Its just an idea though.

perhaps as a multi part unit it would be possible?
Barrel main body and tripod as seperate pieces
but it would be a lot of work and a lot of space on the molds.
Probably cost a small fortune to produce.
Would there be the demand?

Nah, looks too much like M1919 already suggested, I don't take anything but contempt to this weapon.

Or Will could just make the body and tripod, and you would use a black 4L lightsaber bar for the barrel.

I'd love this, but yeah it is too big. A 2 part gun would be good, so you could use it for all sorts of things. A 30 Cal would be nice, it's not any bigger than a Lewis Gun.

I doubt it could have an effective range of almost 2 miles, but I'd definitely buy this if Will made it.

Multipart assembly is probably the best bet if there's any chance of seeing such an item. However, using TLC parts together with BA produced components has some issues:

- In order for the accessory to utilise the 4L bar, the front of the M2 receiver unit needs to be hollow, so that you can push the bar into it. Unfortunately, features like this are perpendicular to the mold profile, and can simply not be made in the first place.

- Customers expect to get everything they need from one purchase. As illogical as it sounds to us folk who are used to BrickLink and whatnot, people tend not to take fine print such as "4L bar not included" into notice.

- Having a design dependent on the availability of a TLC part may pose problems for the whole item's availability. Should supply of the 4L bar suddenly dry up overnight, Will would be forced to backorder the item. Not fun.

The best bet would be a barrel piece custom made by BrickArms that attaches to the main receiver by another means.

I can actually think of a way to do this but I do not wish to step on any toes (I lack the talent to design something like a brickarm)

I'd buy this. This weapon has a ton of potential for use in MOCs, possibly the most of any BA product since the U-clip. And if some kind of "multipart assembly" was in order, it would be great to see the barrel separable from the receiver for use on fighter jets and such. However, this might not be the multipart assembly Greenlead was referring to.

I feel that the Browning M1919 would suffice for this weapon, I mean, most of these differences won't even be noticed at minifig scale, Sorry, but I do not really support this.

UPDATE: Whoops, accidentaly realized I already posted in this thread.

Why not have a stud-sized rise on the barrel end of the weapon, and then sell it with a black 1x1 cone and a 4L bar?

There's actually a very simple model on flickr that I copied along with a Willy's Jeep, very simple to build, only needs about five or six parts.
I couldn't get a link, but the guy's name is PhiMa, so if you can find him, some of the BEST WWII MOCs you will find anywhere!!!
Overall, if Will is going to make a Browning machine gun, it should be the .30 calibre.
