Since there isn't a WWII shotgun at BrickArms.com, why don't you make a Trench Gun? I just played Call of Duty 2 and thought it would be an awesome addition to my WWII mocs. Reference picture[MOD - Picture larger than 400 x 400 so changed to a link - badger] And a lego version. (Credit to realdyl214 for pic.)

I guess it would have to be held the same way as the M1.
I can only say one thing about brickarms, They Rock.

Doing a quick search, it seems the "trench gun" of choice for US armed forced during WWII (and a number of other conflicts) was the Winchester Model 12 All in all, a good, if slightly generic, single-barreled shotgun design. I could picture an accessory based on this weapon also working well for civilian, police, and Western MOCs as well. Bob Fredric wrote:I guess it would have to be held the same way as the M1 True, looking at this design, an rifle-grip design would be more accurate. This would also help differentiate this shotgun from the more modern and already-available M47. *Disclaimer that none of the above is currently being worked on by Will* badger

I feel that a generic BrickArms pump-action shotgun, rather than a specific weapon, would be the best choice for Will to make, as it could stand in for any number of models.

A nice, powerful but still accurate shotgun. (I suppose it's the one from MOH European Assault) Woudln't mind having some of these for my Privates.

The trench gun really wasn't used that often during the second world war, and doesn't really deserve a spot on the next mold. Plus, it's a very simple mod from the lego carbine rifle from the western kits.

If you mean the First World War, then it was used a lot. I think an excellent weapon like this should be able to finds it's spot in the Brickarm's Arsenal.

I wouldn't mind seeing it, especially for civilian/police MOCs. Provisional Company Commander of the LS Army 2nd Infantry Division, "A" Company - Join Today! My Flickr, BrickShelf

I'm in favour of a stocked pump-action shotgun, definitely. It's useful for a heck of a lot of minifigs where the M47 shotgun would look silly, e.g. farmers.
Remember kids, bley and dark grey can look good together so long as you don't mix them up randomly.

I think this would be OK to make as a Brickarms weapon but as you can see, I've already Modded the Brickarms M47 to be one.

Could we add a bayonet to it? http://www.bedlans.com/1897%20Trench%2031M.jpg
We will do this. It might not work but we have to try. To try and save people is better than watching them suffer. We must do this or die trying. This is the price of Delta Force.

Yeah, this is a great idea. I would love a shotgun with a butt-end to it. A shotgun like that could really be used for almost any conflict, such as future, modern or WW2

Plus, you could make a hunter, a bounty hunter, and a piece of bacon!
I love M21's.
I'm not joking. I love them.

Ah, this little number. The gun that made ther Germans in WW1 accuse the Americans of something like war crimes. You know, coming from the army that first used gas and bombed Englands town in WW1. I'm all for this weapon to be honest. We need a less modern looking shotgun I feel.
