I recently sent out a press kit of existing and prototype accessories to James of LAMLradio. Here's his review of a few of the things I sent:

http://radio.laml.org/brickarms2009/

And here's a link to my follow-up interview with him.

Enjoy!

Cool! Good idea, badger, nice to see someone giving a good, in depth review of BrickArms.

Question, though, in the video, at 5:39. Did he say lancers?

This is great! Sounds like everything was good excpt the U-Clip, which in my opinion, is brilliant!

His assessment of the U-Clip surprised me as well. I think he tried to clip it onto a minfig's arm, which we all know is not grippable since it is a much larger diameter than the standard LEGO shaft.

Other than that, I am pleased that he decided to publish an early review of the 2009 prototypes. Thanks, Badger, for sending these to him! :)

I would never have had one thought of doing that. And I guess since he thought it was a real universal clip, he thought it could clip on to most anything that size, which isn't that big of a mistake, I would probably mess up like that. ;)

Nice review of all new prototypes. Sounds like BA needs a musket or something from that era. =P

Badger, you don't sound anything like I had imagined, I do hope to meet you in the future. That video was awesome! Fail? I think not! Really, it was neat to see all of the different prototypes. I saw something that looked kind of like the M41A with an AK clip?

I agree with Brickfan here. Is there some, Uber Top Secret Mega Classified Ninja Guarded Prototype surrounded by Moat's full of Acid and Flaming Sharks?

That's not badger's voice y'know. Read Badger's first post, there you can read that he send it to a guy named James who makes reports for LAML radio. And he does the talking in this video.

Badger rarely uses his Voice, mainly only to whisper in either Will, Damien or Obx's ears, he tends to use Microsoft Sam from a Laptop to tell us all to shut up and get back On Topic :D

James wasn't sent anything that isn't already public knowledge. What kind of Spokesman would I be if I sent highly-sensitive secret info to the press?

Well, even though the guy at LAMtv is knowledgeable, it is implied that the U-clip is used for the guns, and not the arm of a mini fig. Also, if it fits perfectly on a gun why would it fit on a more elongated surface? Other than that the man seemed to clarify the correct attributes to the other items. I only watched about two minutes though.

Exactly what I was thinking! Plus, I saw Will's oldest son (still don't know your name, sorry dude!) clip one onto a Bazooka at BrickCon! He was probably just pressing too hard or something.

FREEBAP. Doesn't the very sound of the word bring excitement?

Is there a 50 cal sniper rifle in there? And what was the sword with the winged hilt?

And BTW he said "A couple answers" not "A couple lancers".

No, there is no item in that assortment that hasn't already been made public.

As for the sword, it's likely The Damien (V2 of the Longsword) or the V3 Longsword.

Great interview Badger! You said a member of the forums suggested a U-Clip, who was that? Horray for the new select-your-own-color weapons!
