I prototyped this one a while back, but I thought you'd all like to see where it is headed. It is 100% injected - no hand-carving, here. It is very different from the CNC-routed version I first showed last year (the one that started the trend). It is the first injection-molded energy sword accessory for minifigs. :) [EDIT - I changed the name to the correct, BrickArms item production name: Plasma Blade. ---Will]I'm still working on the tines, and they will most probably be changed, straightened, and lengthened by the time the next prototype mold is cut.

Ugh. Am I the only one tired that Sci-Fi is getting so much attention?

I remember seeing the earlier version of the Alien Plasma Blade, and this just looks amazing! Thank you for branching out into areas that other modders and Lego enthusiast are unable to go! I'm excited for the possibility that this MIGHT be released!!! Thanks a lot Will!

I remember seeing the chief with the sword at brickfair for $20. I don't know why I didn't get one!

I cut blue LEGO windshields to make those. This is the new version, the 100% injection-molded with trans-plastic version. Sturmgewehr wrote:Ugh. That would be your first clue that it contains Sci-Fi content.. ;) Seriously, though, this is just one of many, many prototypes I've created. I think you'll be happy with what is coming in the next production mold..

Yahoo! This is beautiful, Will! I can think of lots of uses for this, not the least of which being a Halo energy sword. Can’t wait to see what else you have up your sleeve/in your closet/in your garage! MOCpages

Yeah again nice work Will, I love this one. Looks like it's ready for mass production. This weapon looks like it also could be used for a lot of non-weapon functions.

Good job Will, though personally not a fan of Halo, I love this. Not alot of replication mooding possibilities, but some cool looking mods. I'd maybe lengthen it a tiny, tad bit. Trying, and failing is much better, than not trying at all.My Flickr Photostream

Once again, ( I don't know how many times I have said this but..) another great prototype! Would be a good addition to any sci fi pack later. I like it! :D

So will this eventually go into mass production, or is it too soon to tell?
I need to know, I need to know...*keeps repeating untill falls on floor and passes out*
If we didnt have Brickarms, how would we know that pretending to shoot lego with plastic guns is actually pretty fun?

)bob( wrote:So will this eventually go into mass production, or is it too soon to tell? Yep, the Alien Energy Pistol, Plasma Blade, and Needle Gun are all slotted for mass production! When it's going to happen, that's still too early to say, but we'll keep you updated! badger
