the enigma that is badger wrote:he's also been keeping BrickArms up and running and working with his tooler on getting a new production mold together . . . that has over 30 cavities worth of accessories! Some are multiples of the same item, but when this mold comes together, it'll easily be the largest release BrickArms has ever had. It won't include absolutely everything that's been shown the past few months, but it's alot. 30 Cavities? Multiples of the same weapon? Are you saying that some weapons may see mass production in limited edition colors for the general public? Like BA-M5's or newer weapons massed produced in silver? Biggest release in BA History, eh? Before Christmas? I'm predicting that exclusive release of mass produced, finalized Combat Knifes, Combat Shotguns, some other finalized versions of some new weapons, and available Silver Weapons for purchase. Just guessing. Limited Edition Pack around $10? I sure hope the LE Silver pack will sill be there so I can buy both! Although a cheaper Silver pack would be nice. I can't wait to get some BA. I really want a release soon, so I can buy some stuff, but I want to wait till christmas to get them (Over a month!) What to do? Before Christmas seems unlikely, but I don't know... It would still be awesome! Wait, biggest release? It seems as though the BA gang has their work cut out for them, and for me, I'll be ready and waiting. Mr. A Flickr

Firstly, the new mold is not going to be ready before Christmas. It's a busy enough season already for Will, and trying to coordinate a massive release like this at the same time would be impossible. Like we've said, when more specific release information is available, it'll be posted here. Second, multiple cavities of the same accessory means that in the mold, some designs are repeated two or three times for 1) smaller items and 2) items that likely to be more popular than others. Getting already available BrickArms accessories in new colors just means injecting the molds that have already been cut with new colors, something Will is currently considering. Lastly, an LE is is only a possibility right now. Will's already getting hit by the holiday rush, but something might be possible depending on a few different factors. We'll have to see! badger

I'm glad to here that there won't be anything before the holidays because I'll have plenty of money to spend on new brickarms afterwards. I'm broke right now!

The idea of a limited edition forum only pack has got me so excited! I am constantly looking at the forums to see if there is any more news on it. Nice work Will!

Will wrote:Sgt. Striker wrote:This is one I'll buy plenty of if it comes out soon. Beautiful work, Will! Thanks! The prototype mold looks really, really nice right now, and I should be able to produce a handful of these for a special occasion - perhaps a Limited Edition Alien Weapons Proto-Pack? It would contain specially-injected pre-production items, and you all know the quality of the items I produce at home are of a very high caliber. Maybe it will include some Energy Pistols, Plasma Blades, Needle Guns, and Plasma Grenades? Would that be something you all might be interested in? I would abesoulutly love one!!!! Can I buy more than one? =D

And even if not, my growing alien armies thank you.

More pics for your enjoyment! Really, trans-light blue will probably be the most popular color for this item, but it looks great in darn near every color Will has injected it in!

Nice! I like the black and silver more than I do the neon green and purple - or dark purple. -Aaron

Oh, the black and silver/grey look very cool as an enviorment item, not as a weapon itself. =P Henk

Hmm...what would it look like if you cut off one of the blades and a bit of the handle? Would it looks like the weird swords with a horizontal handle that the Wookies use in Star Wars? Or you could use it as a ninja-esque weapon...the possiblities are endless!

I think the weapon should be produced in a variety of colors, like the one shown here, and then offered (In the near or far future) as exclusive, limited edition weapons in a Sci-Fi weapons pack. Or offered as special prizes to a contest (Another Sci-Fi contest, anyone?). Well, that is if this weapon will eventually see mass production. I agree with Brickfan93, I think that it should be thinner near the bottom, or maybe even just thicker near the top...hmmmm, I don't quite know wich one.

Maybe the solid colored ones could be used as animal horns, maybe even appendages!

Wow, those solid colors look better than I expected. I think they look better than even the trans ones. The silver in particular makes for a cool assassin type blade.
Personally, I know nothing of this "Halo" thing of which people speak. I do know that these are great, and I'll be getting some.
